Class Presentation

SafeGen, the Edmonton Regional Safety Committee, and the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) have partnered together to create an updated workplace safety presentation for Alberta classrooms. The purpose of the course is to encourage classroom discussion about workplace safety, for youth entering the workforce, or currently at their first jobs.

The presentation will be given by JobSafe Ambassadors (industry and safety experts), and will touch on various topics that will engage students through question and answer periods, videos, slides, and personal industry experience.

The presentation can be delivered in-class or virtually, for your convenience and adherence with Alberta Government’s current high school visitation rules.

Please note: we will try to accommodate all requests, but presentation dates and times are dependent on Ambassador availability. We cannot accommodate same-day requests, and generally as for one to two weeks lead time. Thank you!

Presentation Details

  • Approximately 45 minutes in length. (The presentation can be modified to be longer or shorter, depending on your class needs.)

Who is this presentation for?

This presentation is a perfect supplementary resource for students that have taken the JobSafe Program, or any one of the HCS 3000, HCS 3010 or AGR 3000 courses. It is also an empowering presentation for students involved in RAP or Work Placement programs through their schools.

If your class has not completed any of the above courses, this presentation would be a beneficial introduction to workplace safety.
