Each year in Canada, more than 100 adults and children are killed in agricultural settings. Safety education and awareness is crucial on farms, and this week is a chance to learn more about keeping yourself and others safe in these situations.

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association offers free safety and health resources specific to agriculture.  AgSafe Alberta also offers online activities and safety tips for the Alberta agriculture industry.

While all workers should be educated on farm safety continually, youth workers are especially vulnerable to incidents. This week, try to lean something new about farm safety every day, and think about how you can update your safety plan, or educate your workers on this important topic.
