Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education, and she spent some time teaching high school overseas before returning to Canada. Over the past five years, Amy has worked in the health and safety field as an educator and quality assurance analyst. She has worked with long-term care and senior supportive living organizations throughout Alberta. Amy contributed to the reduction of injury rates in continuing care staff by creating stronger health and safety programs and providing health care and support staff with education and training in safe living techniques and other areas. During this time, she was also project lead on a team that developed a Workplace Violence and Aggression Prevention Program. Amy is excited for this new opportunity to work for the Job Safety Skills Society. With her background and experience, she looks forward to developing and implementing programs that will help youth stay safe in the workplace.
